Takht Jamshid or Parse (in ancient Persian: 𐎱𐎠𐎼𐎿) (or Persepolis, Persepolis, Hazarstun, Sadstun (in Pahlavi: 𐭮𐭲𐭮𐭲𐭥𐭭𐭩, sadstūn)) is the name of one of the ancient cities of Iran, which over the years, has been the capital of the Khasamites. In this ancient city, there is a palace called Takht Jamshid, which was built during the reign of Darius the Great, Xerxes and Ardashir I, and was prosperous for about 200 years. On the first day of the new year, many groups from different countries, representing satrapies or governorates, gathered in Persepolis with various offerings and offered their gifts to the king.

In 518 BC, the building of Persepolis was started as the new capital of the Achaemenids in Persia.[4] The founder of Persepolis was Darius the Great, but after him his son Khashayars and his grandson Ardeshir I expanded this complex by adding other buildings. Much of the existing knowledge that is available about the background of the Achaemenids and their culture is due to stone inscriptions and clay writings that were carved in these palaces and on its walls and tablets. [5] Sumner estimated that the plain of Persepolis, which includes 39 settlements. It was inhabited and had a population of 43,600 during the Achaemenid period. [6] Historians believe that Alexander the Great, the Greek leader, attacked Iran in 330 BC and burned Persepolis. [4] [7] And probably destroyed a huge part of Achaemenid books, culture and art. However, the ruins of this place are still standing and archaeologists confirm the signs of fire and invasion from its ruins.
