The Atlanta Autism Consortium's “Housing for our Children: The Dilemma of All Special Needs Parents” program on November 18, 2025.

This virtual conversation around housing and adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities explored the range of housing options available today, factors to consider when selecting the best fit for each individual, and resources and programs that can help families plan for the future.

Moderator: Dr. Michael Morrier, PhD, BCBA-D, Program Committee Chair for the Atlanta Autism Consortium and owner and founder of Morrier Consulting LLC; previous Associate Professor at the Emory Autism Center in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Emory University School of Medicine

*Lisa Casteel, a proud parent of Riley, who along with autism has dealt with seizures and HSP (Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia). Lisa is an AAC board member and housing advocate, and is passionate about furthering the resources available to individuals and their families.
*Pam Blanton, Founder and CEO of Partners4Housing, an organization that empowers people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families to create housing solutions that meet their unique needs.
*Harrison Gross, a licensed attorney, real estate broker and cofounder of SPECS Developments LLC, a real estate company that offers high end property rentals and real estate services that cater to the special needs community.
