This gold plated and heavily engraved banjo is the instrument that he played the famous Banjo Medley in Stockholm Sweden in 1979. It will soon be going up for auction, this Saturday December 3rd, with the auction ending Saturday December 10th at 4pm Eastern Time. The proceeds that the owner of this banjo receives will be donated to one of Sonny’s favorite causes, the IBMA trust fund, which he helped start.
