Описание к видео Limit learners to use specific way(s) to interact with chatbots you created at VEE

This short video demonstrates how the VEE allows creators to decide how their users can interact with a chatbot. For instances, in some cases the language teachers or customer service managers may want their students and employees to interact with the chatbots only via speaking; while in some other cases, they may allow their students and employees to use both typing and speaking method; or sometimes only typing to the chatbots.

Visualized Editing Environment (VEE) of Building Chatbots
------------------------------------------------

This research project will build a visual editing environment for users (e.g., course/program creators, lecturers, and mentors) to create their own virtual patients/seniors through working independently, adopting, and altering existing virtual patients shared by others, or co-creation. All the created virtual patients/seniors will be transformed and stored in RiveScript form, but the users do not need to know anything about RiveScript while creating them in the visual editing environment.

Chatbots are a powerful tool in training and their usage as automated first-level support is ubiquitous, but leveraging chatbots requires learning the language that chatbots speak including the syntax, semantics, and other intricacies. This research introduces a block-based, visual editing environment to alleviate the burden of knowledge imposed on users wishing to implement chatbots in their use of training and/or as an automated first-level of support. Users can use the block-based, visual editing environment to create chatbots powered by Artificial Intelligence Scripting Language without needing to know any thing about it thanks to visual and text cues.

Teachers, trainers, mentors, and administrative managers can create chatbots as virtual person or patient for their students/trainees/staffs to practice the communication skills with customers, language speaking and writing skills with a waiter/waitress in the restaurant, bedside manner and skills with a patient in the clinic/hospital or an elder in the longterm care facility. They can also review student-chatbot interactions as well as assess students/trainees/staffs' mastery level of the specific knowledge or concept via "talking" to the created chatbots.

On the other hand, The students/trainees/staffs can choose a pre-created or shared chatbot and then talk to the chosen one. Via the interaction with the chatbots, they can practice at any time while having lunch, waiting at a bus stop, or during their commute to work/home. Besides that, students can also create chatbots based on the knowledge they learned in the class; for instances, they can create a chatbot based on the grammars and words they have been taught in a second or foreign language course; or they can create a chatbot based on the taught policies and procedures, conversation practices, or drilling activities or in a customer relationship, a nursing education, or a language learning class.
