Snorkeling in Vieques

Snorkeling off the pier in Mosquito Bay...met a few new friends :)

This was off the old US Navy pier on the rompeolas. The pier hasn't been used in years, and marine life has started to clinging to the 40 foot pylons and foundation left behind. It's home to over a dozen sea turtles, dozens of species of fish, sting rays, sharks, mollusks, coral, and other sea life.

Puerto Rican's governing body is trying to re-furbish the pier to cut down the ferry time from the main island to Vieques. Support and save the wild life who have made this forgotten structure their home!
