Years went by, but I never forgot,
The way they turned cold when they threw me in the well.
Sold me away like I didn’t have worth,
But Yah had a plan from the moment of birth.

Now I stand with robes and rings,
A ruler in charge of powerful things.
They came for grain, heads held low,
But looked in my eyes—and still didn’t know.

Didn’t see the boy they left behind.
They saw a stranger,
Not the brother they wounded in time.
I held my tears, I bit my tongue,
I saw their shame and how far they’d come.

Saw how regret had softened their pace.
I tested their hearts, not out of pride—
But to see if the hate in them had died.

They spoke of a younger one they swore to defend,
And I felt the healing start to begin.
But still they were blind to who stood near,
My voice was steady, but my heart broke here.

They called me “lord,”

I held my pain like a buried flame,
