Deniz Bagriacik
Sociologist, Writer and Independent Producer
Deniz Bağrıaçık started her francophone education at the Sainte Pulchérie French Secondary School at the age of 11 and continued at the Saint Benoit French High School.
After her graduation, she received a bachelor's degree in sociology from Galatasaray University. She graduated from the University of Geneva, completing her master's degree in economics and labor sociology orientation. She received her doctorate in Sociology at Sorbonne, University of Paris in November 2021, with her studies on the transmission of poverty across generations and sustainability goals. Bağrıaçık, who is the head of the social psychology department at the Iscom faculty of communication in Paris for 2023-2024, teaches in the field of sociology and social psychology. Bağrıaçık, who prepared programs on sustainability lifestyle on Beinconnect İz TV and Habitat TV, has undertaken the production of a new program called İz TV "Sustainable Biz Program". Bağrıaçık, who regularly comments on social events on French and Turkish news channels, continues to write various articles and articles in different media such as T24, Oksijen and AA news agency.
While she was at the university, she took part in the preparation of development indexes of the United Nations' countries and in research on political choices in nursing homes. While completing his master's degree, he started his first career in private banking at Credit Europe. In 2011, she went to New York.
She started writing articles on gender and sustainable development, which she prepared by following current events, for a local newspaper in New York. His articles were later published in "Cumhuriyet", "Birgün", "İstanbul Art News", "Harvard Business Review", "ElleFrance" and Varlık Magazine. She continued her columns on the T24 news site. In 2017, Bağrıaçık published his first book, Sorsana Bizim Sevmiş mi, which tells about the perspective of foreigners in Turkey on Turkey. While continuing his writings in his business life, he took on the Türkiye project leadership of the JP Morgan Foundation.
Bağrıaçık was impressed by the situation of children in an orphanage in Dar Es Salaam, which he visited for his doctoral thesis, and carried out various works for children. When she discovered the existence of her family, she wanted to make documentaries known to more people about what happened.

Portraits of Zanzibar (with his short documentary) received invitations from festivals in Rome, Sorento, Moscow, Toronto, Amsterdam, New York, Sweden, England, Preston, and London, and became a finalist.
He continued his work in the field of social entrepreneurship with the ethical fashion brand MAISHA, which he founded in Paris in 2019, and turned this brand into a social content production company in 2022. During the pandemic, he organized a donation campaign on behalf of TEGV by organizing conversations with well-known people in their fields. Studio 22 hosts Prof. Dr. with its conversations and guests who add value to the program. He contributed to the 1-year education of more than 100 children with Ali Ergur, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Giritli İnceoğlu, Gündüz Vassaf, Soli Özel and artists Esra Zeynep Yücel and Evrencan Gündüz.
Bağrıaçık, whose passion for art began at a very young age, studied theater at Müjdat Gezen and piano at Pera Fine Arts. He received presentation training at Başkent Communication Sciences. While she enjoys sports and yoga, one of Bağrıaçık's biggest passions is morning coffee, with a great passion for animals, especially dogs.
