In this video, we will be talking about the two types of class intervals in statistics.
We are going to discuss how the two types are particularly useful when grouping numerical data and when it is appropriate to use them.
In the last video you saw how to create class intervals, class boundaries, and Class width from a frequency distribution, we use these to help us group numeric variables for a better understanding of our data.
We have 2 types of classification.
The inclusive type of classification where both the lower and upper-class limits are inclusive in the classification is useful when you are classifying discrete variables.
The exclusive type of classification where the upper-class limit is excluded from the classification and is useful when dealing with continuous variables.
