Описание к видео MYTH - A Fictional Tribal Short Film (Behind The Scene)

This film is based on fictional character created by nature, with the essence of a Sikkimese tribal community. A regional film with mysterious plots and captivating suspense.

SYNOPSIS :
Kursongmit is a born shaman (KHANDRO) but her parents never let her become aware of it or express it due to societal norms. Since her childhood, her parents have sent her to the city for studying. She is well educated and doesn’t believe in superstitions. But when she visits home she continuously visualises the same weird dream. She wants to confess this to her family and friends but she’s worried at the same time. A bold city girl to investigate more on this matter, she comes across a shaman in the village and while communicating with him she finds out many hidden truths about her life and hence the story revolves around her. She is strongly a karma believer and spiritual person.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
This film aims to make the viewers rethink about how modernisation has changed their lifestyle and needs. It shows how our forefathers had protected and sustained nature through their rituals, customs and traditions. As we analyse the present times, we are exploiting our resources leaving behind almost nothing of significance for the future generations. This film also highlights the consequences faced by us such as natural calamities and imbalances in the ecosystem. A very important aim is to build a healthy consciousness on our beautiful relationship with the nature.

DIRECTOR’S VISION

My vision for the film is going back to our original roots, where we as tribal people (nature worshipper) are rich in culture. Our culture and traditions of today is directly related to that of science and knowledge about the potential forces of nature. It is not about promoting any caste or religion but is about looking at their practices (nature worshipper) with a deeper perspective. This film is based on the sustainability of the nature, how we can preserve and protect out mother nature keeping Global warming in mind. Development comes, but the price to pay is very high.
