Day in the life: Forester

Описание к видео Day in the life: Forester

You might think Foresters are out in the woods all day, axe in hand, possibly in a checked shirt. But however much we like the lumberjack aesthetic, there's a lot more to it.

Foresters are in charge of specified areas and plan all the work going on there, often up to a decade in advance, and sometimes longer. From where to harvest trees and when, to where to plant new trees and what species, there's a massive amount of planning to consider. Our Foresters work closely with Work Supervisors to ensure each forest is managed responsibly and to balance the needs of sustainable timber, wildlife habitat, recreational facilities, and much more. It's a job with a lot of scope with results that can echo for years after works are completed.
