Arjit performs his song "Black and white" at TRAFFIK JAM

Arjit is a singer-songwriter that experiments with different kinds of music combining them to create his own unique style. He started out playing and singing in his school rock band in Ooty. After that, he went on to join the merchant navy and take up many other jobs until he finally decided to quit it all to pursue his passion. His music talks about this journey in hopes to inspire people to do what they love. He is currently working on recording his first album.


TRAFFIK JAM is an initiative to promote and create content and opportunities for Indian artists. India has a very minor music industry other than the one linked to the Film Industry. That restricts creativity for such a vast country like India. Indian music consumption is more of a song driven one. It makes it very difficult for artists who make honest/real content experimenting with different ideas and just do what they love to make a living.

For that, we need the artists themselves need to start creating their own opportunities and content to build their own following.
Traffik Jam is just a baby step that would hopefully lead to a day when any kid who can pour their heart out with their music can make a living doing what they love.
