Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of the well known gurudwara in Delhi. It is situated near Connaught Place, New Delhi on Baba Kharak Singh Marg. Bangla Sahib is well known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, as well as the pool inside its complex, known as the "Sarovar sahib’’


Gurdwara Bangla Sahib was originally a bungalow belonging to Raja Jai Singh, an Indian ruler in the seventeenth century. During Guru Harkrishan's stay in Delhi there was a terrible epidemic of cholera and smallpox. He spend most of his time in serving the humble, the sick and the destitute. Contracting smallpox himself the young Guru, only a little over five years old, passed away on October 6, 1661. Later, this place was converted into a gurudwara.
