Elecraft KPA-1500 with optional Band Data cable

I recently purchased the CBL-YAE-BANDKEY cable from Elecraft, so my radio can send band change information to my Elecraft KPA-1500 legal limit amplifier. Additionally, this cable takes advantage of the solid-state keying data. So the one cable informs the amp of a band change and instructs the amp to transmit. I was able to disable the external ground relay (Menu 173 in a FTdx5000MP), thus eliminating any moving parts in the transmit circuit. This makes VOX and full break-in CW a smooth operation. The cable has proven to be well worth the $50 price tag.
