"Oh my goodness. Well, this is a tiny little film that got me out of my garden and I was making pickles and jam. I didn't think I'd be doing any more in this industry. I was a little, you know, disappointed in myself and was kind of reassessing some of my life choices. But then this came up and I read it and it just I could hear her voice in my head. I could see it already. And I just thought, 'This is life or death. I have to do this film. This is that feeling that people get when they respond to material and they have to do it.'"

"So no, I wasn't thinking about any of this. I was just thinking, 'I need some place to put my entire life.' And that was this film. All my life experience from childhood till now, I thought,' I need somewhere else to put it. There's no therapist. There's no best friend that can help me with this. I need to have some kind of artistic expression.' And so that's what I was using this film for too. And every film heals a little part of you. And so I feel like I'm on a roll. I feel like I'm on to something, but I just scratched the surface, which is really exciting because I feel like, 'OK, I love to transform into characters in film and not in my personal life.' Even though I've been many Halloween costumes, I'm more than that (laughter.)"
