A 6 member Supreme Court bench today heard arguments from bar associations on how to prevent alleged interference by intelligence agencies in judicial process. The hearing comes after an unprecedented letter signed by six judges of Islamabad High Court detailing harrowing instances of judges and their family members being intimidated by military’s intelligence agency -the ISI. Justice Athar Minallah wants government to explain its position being in constitutional command and control of the armed forces but chief justice Qazi Faez Isa is vehemently opposing it. #MJtv explains today’s proceedings and then talks to senior court reporter Hasnat Malik.
