Hawken is a free-to-play multiplayer mech first-person shooter video game developed by Reloaded Games. The game focuses on creating an intense battle experience that captures the feel of piloting a mech and includes fast-paced strategic action. The game features six game modes: Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, Co-op Bot Destruction, Co-op Bot Team Deathmatch, Siege and Missile Assault. It currently follows the freemium model of game monetization with in-game purchases as the source of revenue.

On August 27, 2012, video game publisher Meteor Entertainment announced[3] the game would be launched on December 12, 2012. On this date, an open beta of the game was released.[4] A steady stream of updates and patches were received until Spring 2014.

It wasn't until March 16, 2015, that video game developer Reloaded Games had acquired Hawken and became the successor to Adhesive Games' legacy. Since then, a huge amount of work was put into upgrading the game from DirectX 9 to DirectX 11, and porting the game to the current generation consoles.[5]

Hawken will launch on the Xbox One and Playstation 4 on July 1, 2016 and July 8, 2016, respectively. At launch, there will be a total of 30 playable mechs]—up from the PC platform's 18 mechs with open beta patch 1.5.3 from Spring 2014.
