2nd year Jentzen Loeffler left a career in another industry to follow a calling to PT in general and CU DPT in particular. And though she doesn’t consider herself the “typical” PT personality type, she has found ways to connect with her fellow students and faculty. During her time on campus, Jentzen has discovered ways to explore her curiosities and unlock new learning opportunities. Learn why she chose CU DPT and what character traits she hopes to develop as she looks towards starting a new semester.

The Campbell University Department of Physical Therapy is committed to graduating doctors of physical therapy who deliver skilled, compassionate, patient-centered care, from a service-oriented, Christian guided view, with special emphasis on rural healthcare environments. Our open, engaging and diverse faculty is qualified to deliver our unique curriculum through evidence supported pedagogy, interactive learning, and collaborative efforts. They model professional behaviors, skills, and service while developing graduates ready to practice independently as part of a comprehensive inter-professional healthcare team. Our department believes in a learning environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and interactions within and between healthcare professions in both service and clinical internships in a variety of settings. Inter-professional learning experiences provided throughout the program are designed to integrate profession specific knowledge that will prepare graduates for real world situations and changes in healthcare delivery. We believe our graduates will possess the skills, knowledge, and professional attributes to provide competent, compassionate, ethical, and patient centered care to serve all sectors of society and promote advancement of physical therapy to benefit the communities where they live and practice.
