Warning: Also known as Kahe, Electric Beach is not meant for beginners or those who have just started snorkeling. This is for more advanced and experienced divers and snorkelers. The ocean currents can easily take you out to sea and recently someone lost their life here. Please be aware of the currents, wind, swell, and tides before proceeding at Electric Beach. You are not in a protective cove. If you are new to snorkeling I recommend Turtle Bay or Sharks Cove or even Waikiki and secret beach. Snorkeling at Electric beach takes you out into the deep blue ocean. And it can get deep. If the tides, current, swell, or wind are not in your favor you shouldn't go. This is a popular scuba diving location and you will have lots of tourists join you at times.

Kimberly and I have been looking for an adventure without the kids, or more, we have been hoping to snorkel Electric Beach on the Leeward Side of Oahu, near Ko'olina without our kids. Not that we don't love adventures with kids, but sometimes it's nice to have an adventure of our own. Electric Beach offers some great snorkeling with a wide variety of marine life. Including turtles, seals, and a whole lot of tropical Hawaiian fish.

Later in the episode Kimberly and I headed to Honolulu Kitchen where you can find fresh made to order Manapuas! A Hawaiian Style Steamed Bum with a variety of filling on the inside. Some have a sweet filling, others have Kalua Pork on the inside. Yum! I highly recommend Honolulu Kitchen. Check them out:

🪖 If you are new to our channel, John re-enlisted in the military after being out for ten years. Kind of crazy. But John was a Marine and he loved the Marines. Afghanistan Veteran. The only reason he got out was for me. Back before online jobs or school, he gave up the Marines and allowed me to start my career. I had an amazing career spending years growing and working with Target as a Store Director. But with Covid came many changes. One of those was to stay home and homeschool Alexandra. And so it opened the door for John to do whatever he wanted to do. He re-enlisted, but this time we both agreed on the Army. But after being out so long, John had to go through Basic training again or OSUT. Six months of that followed by waiting for command sponsorship for our first OCONUS move and the family has been apart for 10 months. Crazy considering this wasn't a deployment. But we made it! We are now stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii for the next 2 to 3 years and feel truly blessed to be here!
