Application Process:

1. Eligibility Criteria

For Electives:
MBBS and BDS students (3rd year and onwards) from PMDC-accredited medical colleges in Pakistan.

For Observership:
MBBS graduates who have passed all five professional exams and can provide their five DMCs (Detailed Marks Certificates).

Application Process

Step 1: Visit HR Department
Go to the HR Department (1st Floor, Tower A, PKLI) and collect the Electives/Observership Application Form.
Fill it out and get it signed by the Head of the concerned department after they confirm vacancy.

Step 2: Submit Required Documents
• Updated CV
• Academic Certificates & Experience Letters (Matric/O-Levels to latest MBBS DMC)
• Passport-sized Photos
• CNIC/Passport Copy
• Recommendation Letter from your college (signed by Principal) - Takes 1-2 days to get this.

Step 3: Medical Screening
Tests to be done at PKLI (Cost: ~PKR 12,000–15,000):
• Chest X-Ray
• Hepatitis B & C
• HIV
• Anti-HBs (if vaccinated)
• Hepatitis B booster (if not vaccinated)

Final Step: Approval & Joining
HR forwards your application for internal approvals from dean and other concerned authorities (takes about a week).
Once approved, you’ll be contacted for a hospital visit and report review.

If cleared, you’ll be asked to join from the upcoming Monday. (they always start from Monday).
• Monday–Tuesday: Orientation
• From Wednesday: Start in your assigned department

Timeline: Entire process takes approx. 10–15 days from submission to start. Only fee you gotta pay is for the medical screening investigations and vaccine if you ain’t vaccinated for Hep B.
