When it comes to Torahism, which teaches that Christians are under the old covenant law, the mistake that I’ve made (and many of us make) is thinking that its all about theology. It’s not. I’m speaking broadly here, but many Christians who adopt a Torah-observant lifestyle and become contentious about it, do so as an issue of personal identity or pride. They believe they’ve discovered some sort of hidden knowledge that the rest of the Church doesn’t see. And so they begin re-interpreting everything in Scripture to support this belief and then they try to convince other Christians it’s true. But here’s the thing. Torahism isn’t teaching hidden knowledge that the Church just doesn’t see. They’re teaching an ancient heresy that the church has seen and rejected time and again. I mean, going all the way back to the early church and the books of Galatians and Romans and Hebrews.
