Calling at Rushcliffe Halt. The Great Central Railway's small unique station in Nottinghamshire.

Описание к видео Calling at Rushcliffe Halt. The Great Central Railway's small unique station in Nottinghamshire.

A profile of Rushcliffe Halt. It's a station with a fascinating history. Built after the railway was opened to serve a golf club it became better known for the extensive sidings for a gypsum mine.
Even though BR closed it in 1963 it remained almost intact until the 1980s for freight - and then was consumed by nature.
Now in a new life it's being rebuilt by a team of volunteers to serve a new generation of passengers.
