Habakkuk 2:1-3 (NKJV)
“I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”

Isaiah 62:6
“On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves.”

Daniel 4:17
“‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers, (Watcher....angel to protect, wakeful, watchful ones). And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’”

The three words translated watchman in Hebrew are:
natsar - “to protect, observe, preserve, to see hidden things,”
shamar - “to keep, guard, protect, preserve,”
tsaphah - “to lean forward and peer into the distance, to keep watch, spy.”

Ephesians 6:18 says
“praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful…”. (Watchful…to stay awake and watch, to be attentive and ready.)

I Peter 5:8
“Be sober, be vigilant, because our adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour.”

Isaiah 60:1 (AMP)
ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!

Acts 8:39-40 (NKJV)
Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.
