Florida Adventure Trail Motorcycle Ride Across The Panhandle

On this ride I am helping a buddy of mine map a section of the Florida Overland Trail. An Overland route that will cross the Florida panhandle and loop back into the Alabama Adventure Trail. He asked for help to map the section from Blountstown to Eglin AFB in Defuniak Springs. He gave me the go-ahead to come up with my own route since this is my local area and I'm pretty familiar with all the best back roads and public land in the central panhandle. We started at Hwy 20 and Hwy 71 in Blountstown, headed south on CR 69 and then cut West across Calhoun County to Bay County into Econfina Creek WMA, from there we worked our way back north through Sunny Hills, FL and the headed back west across Washington County, headed north to cross the Choctawhatchee River in Caryville, then back southwest into Walton County where we hit some fun back roads cutting our way to the east side of Eglin AFB in Defuniak Springs. The route ended up 170 miles and I ended up clocking 275 miles on the KLR that day.
