This is Mizunomori Water Botanical Garden Walking Tour. The Garden staff Hamanaka-san kindly guided us the beautiful water botanical garden in Shiga, just beside Biwako lake.

Join the tour and see the gorgeous view of very unique Water Lilly and Aquatic plants.

In this tour, we’ll walk through the Mizunomori Water Botanical Garden in Shiga prefecture, where you can see the variety of water plants.
The main feature in this garden is Victoria cruziana! You might have seen it before in a photo, but you’ll be amazed by the jumbo sized Water Lilly.

This botanical Garden is located at the lake side (Biwa-ko, the largest lake in Japan) . In this garden, there is a facility called Lotus hall where you can encounter a variety of water plants. You can enjoy this garden throughout the season.

Shiga prefecture will be under the state of emergency from 27 Aug 2021. We have a permission to conduct the live tour for everyone who cannot visit this facility due to the corona pandemic. Hope you’ll enjoy the tour!
