"We present to you the first of a two-part release series: DECADE OF MUTINY I & II. A complete re-recording of 5 of our favorite songs off of each of our first two records. Out now exclusively on Bandcamp!

Since we started as a Bandcamp band, We wanted to release this exclusively on Bandcamp once again, full circle. It will be available on streaming July 6th, 2023.

Our first self-titled album was released 10 years ago this month, June 20th, 2013 to be exact. It’s absolutely insane how time has flown. Jake and I were 17 and 18 writing this album and Sea’s Control. This whole band pretty obviously started as a complete joke idea. He and I had some extra time after school and decided to act on it and make an actual song. After the first song was written (The Bends) we realized that we had something special going on. So we continued meeting up to write more songs and come up with more fun ideas. My computer was broken at the time, so we would meet up at our good friend AC Riddle’s house to use his recording setup. This whole album was done at his house after getting out of school. I remember sitting in class day dreaming about things like going straight to AC’s house to track vocals Jake and I had talked about the day before, or recording that riff and finishing the idea that we had started on late the night before.
This album was the very first album I had mixed and mastered, written, and my first time ever screaming. It spawned a love for something aside from guitar for me, vocals, songwriting, and mixing. I have gone full force into writing music since this band started and I truly believe I found my voice as a musician through writing these songs. It was the perfect environment to start writing. Zero pressure, just fun. And I try my absolute best to carry that idea and feeling through everything I’ve done since this band started.
And although this band is not a main project or focus like it used to be, I will never stop writing music for this band. It will always be my passion project and I always end up coming back to writing songs for this band to find my musical identity again. I feel that the band has endless opportunity to sound however we want it to and I feel Jake and I have proven that since the very start.
In order to honor that, I really wanted to do something special for the 10 year anniversary of this album and for Sea’s Control when its 10 anniversary comes in November. There are some different nuanced moments throughout these songs, as I wanted to redo them as they had evolved when we played them in a live setting! I really hope you guys enjoy the way these songs came out for this re-release and I just want to thank everyone who has been following and supporting this band from the very start. It has been absolutely immense for me. My confidence as a musician, and my confidence in myself. THANK YOU!"

"Time is something we can never get back, but something we can hold onto forever. A project born out of complete passion was started 10 years ago. I get to have the memories of spending time with one of my best friends cracking jokes, talking about music, and showing off my love for all things ocean related. The first song that was written was born out of me retelling Andrew about a near death experience while scuba diving, and "The Bends" was here. If only I had known that what started as a simple joke between friends would turn into so much more than that. We were trying to find ourselves in this crazy world at the crux of adulthood and accidentally created something I will cherish forever. I was able to write out these ridiculous stories that turned into three albums of telling the arch of the squid I didn't know that we were going to tell. I wasn't sure if anyone was ever going to listen or hear that story, but I was able to tell it with my best friends, and that's all that mattered. And to those that did listen, sincerely, thank you. I'd like to say that my life has been one of the best I could have asked for and it all started here. I still work deep in the scuba diving industry and strive to get even deeper😈 and this will forever be the soundtrack to the start of it all for me. See you in the abyss...... you pussies 😉
