Crystal Maria Rogers disappeared from her home in Bardstown, Kentucky, United States, on July 3, 2015. Her boyfriend at the time said she disappeared from their home overnight; her car was found on a nearby highway two days later. Rogers' family believes the boyfriend was involved in foul play; he was considered a suspect after he broke off an interview. Her family also believes the case is connected to the unsolved 2016 shooting death of Rogers' father while hunting.

In 2023, three area men including her former boyfriend were indicted on charges connected to the case

The Interview July 15th, 2015 - Nick Houck -

The detectives in Nick Houck's July 15th, 2015 interview asked him multiple times whether the brothers had talked while at the farm, what they might have talked about and what they'd done while they were there. The detectives noted that it had only been a week prior. Each time Nick Houck said that he could not remember.

The Interview July 8th, 2015 - Brook Houck -

Houck tells investigators he doesn't need an attorney and didn't have anything to do with her disappearance.

"My whole family's name is trashed for something completely not even tied to me," he said.

The detective points out Houck was the last person to see Rogers alive and there are gaps in his story.

While Houck claims he, Rogers and their son spent the evening of Friday, July 3 at his family's farm, the investigator brings up a text message Rogers sent to a friend earlier that same day.

Brooks Houck has been arrested and charged with the murder of Crystal Rogers, the Bardstown mother whose disappearance has mystified the public since she went missing in 2015.

Houck was Rogers' boyfriend at the time of her disappearance and is the father of one of her five children. He was identified as a suspect early in the investigation but has denied involvement.

Houck's arrest was announced by the FBI on Wednesday morning. He has been charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence, according to court documents. His bond is set at $10 million cash. He is also ordered to not have any contact with Rogers' family
