Learn how easily you can drag and drop an item from an external TreeView component to the Vue Gantt Chart row. In this video, the dragged item is updated as a resource to the appropriate Gantt chart task using the TreeView's nodeDragStop event. The TreeView component is used to perform drag and drop operations. To render this component, install the Syncfusion EJ2 Vue Navigations.

In the Gantt Chart, Auto mode is enabled for editing. On the TreeGrid side, you can start editing any row by double clicking on it or clicking on toolbar’s Edit button, then the currently selected row will be changed to edited state. On the chart side, you can edit the tasks using edit dialog by double clicking on the taskbars. Gantt component features are segregated into individual feature-wise modules. To use editing feature, inject the Edit module. To use a selection feature, inject the Selection module. You can allocate one or more resources to tasks based on the task requirement. Resources can be mapped using resourceFields such as id, name and unit.

Syncfusion’s Vue Gantt chart is a project planning and management tool used to display and manage tasks hierarchically with a timeline. It helps assess how long a project should take, determine the resources needed, manage the dependencies between tasks, and plan the order in which tasks should be completed.
