✺ With lot's of gig's cancelled, we decided it was time to dive into the studio. Electric Monkey studio, in Amsterdam, turned out to be a great place to rehearse, and record some new songs. Kasper, working behind the analog mixing table, has been recording us on old 4 & 8 track tape machines, using analog compressors and reverbs to mix us. These old machines added an extra musical layer to the Baragan. When you turn up the volume you can hear the tape-noise, and enjoy the warmth and depth they add to our instruments and voices.

✺ We've been working hard to be able to record the songs in one-take. That means: no overdub's, what you see is what you hear! It also means no possibility to redo parts of the music. But even with some small imperfections in the notes, this way of recording really captures Baragan the best, with us playing together, reacting to each other, playing with each other, being there in the moment with each other.

✺ We think this one-take approach really fits well with Baragan's song, and it will give you also the best taste of our live performances.

✺ Also One Take: the image! It was shot in one take, with Mark Tuinstra swirling around us, letting the camera become part of the music.
