The heritage sector is one in which MAC has particular expertise and we are proud to have worked on some of the most prestigious buildings across the UK. One such example is Camden Town Hall, where we installed a stunning pitched roof using natural Westmorland Slates which added beauty and character to this historic building in Central London.

Elsewhere we also installed high performance liquid roofing and BUFR systems in order to achieve a Broof T4 fire classification on the flat roof areas.

This project was particularly challenging from a logistical point of view due to its location on Euston Road opposite St. Pancras Station. This area is always busy with motor vehicles but also with pedestrians walking past and under the scaffolding. This meant there was a huge focus on housekeeping, safety and logistical planning so that delivery vehicles were not causing disruption to the public, or causing traffic to build up. Things were also made harder because access to this project was via a one-way street.

Nevertheless, despite these challenges the MAC Team was able to complete a highly successful installation, meeting the client’s brief perfectly and ensuring many more years’ weatherproof protection for this Grade II listed building.
