The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, immediately closed the Attari border, and cancelled all SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) visas for Pakistani nationals, ordering those in India to leave within 48 hours. Diplomatic staff reductions and expulsions were also announced, marking a major escalation in bilateral tensions.
