The Trijicon RMR is the OG pistol mounted red dot optic. These things are known for being stupid durable and have the ability to take an absolute beating. The RMR Type 2, or RM06 is an updated version of the RMR that features an automatic brightness adjustment mode, meaning that it will automatically adjust intensity based on ambient lighting. The internals in the type 2 are also upgraded from the type 1, so the type 2 can expect to have a lower failure rate and higher round count.
