RELAXATION OF 48 HRS GIVEN TO PARAMILITARY FOR APOLOGY

On 9th august 2024 at ASU office held a press conference regarding physical assault to ASU President by D Block, Assam Raffles at kohima. Vineyiekho Vitso, ASU General Secretary during the press conference said the incident happened at around 12:30 pm on 9th august 2024 where the president got an emergency call, where he made a stop to answer the call, upon which an army jawan came hit his car and tried to puncture his car upon witnessing this, he opened the door, but was assaulted directly and his clothes torn in the process, he was even threatened. Vineyiekho Vitso also stated that normal life will resume as usual and the bandh shall be applicable only to the movement of Para military forces. So the public need not panic and continue with daily life. After the consultative meeting with seniors leader, Range executive, APO and AYO the indefinite Bandh for tomorrow Will be Canceled Considering waiting period of 48 hours response from the Assam Raffles Camp D Block Kohima. A relaxation of 48hrs to be given to the paramilitary for apology was decided in the meeting, he added.
