Orcas in Active Pass, Galiano Island BC - Canada (wow!)

The video was recorded on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from the shore on Galiano Island. Although we saw the whales approach Active Pass from another location, we had no idea how many whales were in this group. We were very fortunate to see the superpod consisting of the J, K and L resident orca pods that feed on local fish. There could have been over 80 orca whales. They do not eat seals and, contrary to their other name "killer whales", they do not eat people.
We were all excited to see this many of them (as you can tell from the audio). I can't imagine anybody who would be able to watch them live in silence.
