Coloradans for the Common Good and JESPA Leaders Remind Board of Commitments to Healthy School Meals

JESPA and CCG Leaders are fighting for Healthy School Meals for All. We are here to remind the Board of Education that they have all made commitments to healthy school meals. CCG Leader Memory Wollenweber reminds the board that they made promises around junk food during their campaigns, Nicholas Marquez of Hunger Free Colorado and JESPA show their support for Andrea Cisneros, a Kitchen Manager for Jeffco who has transformed her cafeteria into a classroom to educate students about healthy choices. She has been reprimanded for her approach, directed not to use the term junk food, and been asked to stay silent on these issues. She will not be silenced.
President of JESPA, Zander Kaschub is here to defend Andrea's courage and bravery. He didn't have time to display the unhealthy items that students who have money in their accounts often to eat over their school lunch, including chips, cookies, brownies, and sugary drinks.
