Jake was the best wolfdog in the world! He was born December 23rd, 2013, and died on May 1st, 2025. He was 11 years old. He was kind to everyone, cats, dogs, and even baby bunnies. We don't know what we'll do without him. Honey has no idea what's happened. She's lost the love of her life and has no idea she'll never see him again. I think that hurts the most. The doctors told us Jake had blood cancer, but we never saw any symptoms. He only had symptoms a couple of hours before his death. His spleen ruptured. The doctor told us we could put him down or perform surgery. He said most animals don't survive the surgery, and if he managed to survive, it would be a very painful process. They told us that if surgery was a success, he'd only live 2 months and would be in constant pain from the cancer. My daughter decided to have him put down but said she'd wait for me to arrive. Jake died on his own just minutes before I walked in the door. I never got a chance to say goodbye. 🐺 ❤️ 🐾
