Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to assist in securing our ride-booking platform and infrastructure. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in application security, cloud security, risk management, and threat detection in a fast-paced startup environment.

You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and security professionals, gaining hands-on exposure to tools and practices essential for securing modern software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing vulnerability assessments on web and mobile applications • Support security testing (manual & automated) on APIs and infrastructure • Monitor and review system logs for anomalous behavior and threats • Help implement and document security best practices across the SDLC • Work with dev teams to ensure secure code reviews and patch management • Participate in incident response drills and risk analysis

• Conduct research on the latest cyber threats, exploits, and defense strategies

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and OWASP Top 10 • Familiarity with network security, authentication, and encryption • Exposure to Linux, command-line tools, and basic scripting (Python, Bash) • Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and IDS/IPS concepts

• Comfortable using Git, GitHub, and collaborative work environments • Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, and work proactively

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience with security tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nmap) • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Firebase)

• Exposure to DevSecOps practices or secure CI/CD pipelines

• Understanding of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR • Personal projects, CTF participation, or security-related GitHub repos
