How Supercooled Liquid Water Causes Aircraft Icing: Demo Aviation Meteorology Ice & Chemistry

Описание к видео How Supercooled Liquid Water Causes Aircraft Icing: Demo Aviation Meteorology Ice & Chemistry

Here's a quick experiment to help you see how supercooled liquid water can cause aircraft icing! I actually received this experiment in a science kit from MEL Chemistry (https://melscience.com/US-en/chemistr... to see the set). This experiment uses a supercooled solution of sodium acetate and water, but the same principal happens with supercooled water suspended in clouds in the atmosphere.

Always remember that Laura, when you get right down to it, is just a pilot and a dispatcher. She is explaining facts from the source materials but may be incorrect or out of date. You should always follow your primary guidance (Aircraft manuals, government regulations, etc.) before listening to anything from this YouTube channel.
