"8 Eyes" is an action-platformer game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1988. Developed by Thinking Rabbit and published by SETA, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where nuclear war has ravaged the planet, and society has collapsed into chaos. Players control Orin, a falconer, and his trained falcon, Cutrus, as they embark on a quest to restore peace by retrieving the eight mystical jewels known as the Eyes of Peace.

Gameplay side-scrolling action and platforming elements. Players navigate through eight different castles, each ruled by a powerful duke who holds one of the Eyes of Peace. Orin and Cutrus must fight through various enemies, solve puzzles, and defeat the dukes to collect the jewels. The unique aspect of the game is the dual-character control; players can switch between Orin and Cutrus, using the falcon to attack enemies, retrieve items, and reach otherwise inaccessible areas.

The game also features a cooperative two-player mode, where one player controls Orin while the other controls Cutrus, allowing for more strategic gameplay. Each castle has its own distinct theme and set of enemies, contributing to the game's challenge and requiring players to adapt their strategies. The combat involves using a sword for close-range attacks and collecting different sub-weapons scattered throughout the levels, similar to the item system in Castlevania.

"8 Eyes" for the NES has a unique concept with the use of dual characters, but the game's high difficulty level is too high and there's some control issues.
