Guitar Street in Ochanomizu, Tokyo

You must visit the Ochanomizu area in Tokyo , Japan if you love guitars. There is a whole area with dozens of guitar shops.
Most of the shops offer similar choices of the usual top brands - like Fender, Gibson and Epiphone - but there are other shops that offer unique brands that are not often seen in North American shops.
I was most impressed with the variety of rare and vintage guitars available in many of the stores. The area also has non-guitar instrument stores including violin, ukelele and brass instrument shops.
Guitar Planet was one of my favourite stores there... floors and floors full of guitars! There is also another vintage store that had a $42,000 SRV and a $33,000 Clapton Blackie!!!
Guitar street is pretty easy to get to. It's about a 2 minute walk from Ochanomizu station.
