The New York Islanders Sign Free Agent Forward Anthony Duclair to Fortify the Top Six

The New York Islanders signed free agent forward Anthony Duclair to a four-year deal worth a total of $14 million. Duclair adds speed an skill to the lineup and at 28, is still in his prime. Duclair played junior hockey under Patrick Roy and Roy's presence behind the bench was a major reason he signed with the Islanders. We discuss what Duclair adds to the Isles lineup and where he'll fit in.

The Islanders also re-signed defenseman Mike Reilly and added a new defensive coach in Tommy Albelin to replace Doug Houda and we now know the first two games of the Isles schedule for the 2024-25 regular season with the rest of the schedule to drop on Tuesday.
