Remapping Bluetooth Presentation Remote Keys Using Keyboard Maestro

Bluetooth wireless presenters, such as the Logitech presenter that I use are great for more than just using with Powerpoint and Keynote, but the buttons may not necessarily be mapped to the actions that you want to use them for within the application you are using.

Basically, though, a presentation remote is just a tiny keyboard, sending keystrokes to your computer. So, we just need to re-map those keystrokes to match the keystrokes corresponding to the actions you want to trigger.

Enter, Keyboard Maestro! This is one of my all time favourite (and, at this point, essential) apps. You can download Keyboard Maestro here: https://www.keyboardmaestro.com/

It is such a powerful app that allows you to create all manner of macros and shortcuts. In this case we will just be scratching the surface of what it is capable of, and this video should serve as a good introduction to Keyboard Maestro.

Incidentally, the precise problem that we are trying to solve here is how to advance pages of a PDF that has been embedded into a Scene of Ecamm Live.
