There are many steps in making an ebony tailpiece for an archtop guitar. In order to provide some level of detail, I broke this video into two parts. In part 1, I cut the ebony and focus my attention on the forward edge of the piece, where the strings will be attached. Part 2 of this video addresses how I anchor the tailpiece to the guitar, as well as the final contouring of the ebony.
