Legend o Zelda Link to the Past: Touch of Death Glitch

This glitch that temporarily alters some of the graphics in the game Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It works on the SNES version and the Virtual Console version as well, but not on the GBA port.
Get to the location shown at the beginning of the video, but you must not have obtained the magic mushroom earlier. Teleport from the dark world using the magic mirror to the exact location of the mushroom and Link will pick it up immediately. Notice the graphics are glitched. At this point do not enter any buildings or access the map screen or the glitch will end. Continue walking around and notice that, while in the Lost Woods, the Light World creatures have been altered. The thief looks like a small Cyclops.
Now the Touch of Death part. Pick up a rock and notice that it changes into a skull. Even the fish that jump out of the water are only bones.
