Sweet Little Sixteen - Chuck Berry - Acoustic Guitar Cover - The Escalators

Описание к видео Sweet Little Sixteen - Chuck Berry - Acoustic Guitar Cover - The Escalators

Chuck Berry had a knack for capturing cartoon-like slices of 1950s America in his lyrics. This one describes a teenage rock 'n' roll fanatic, and refers to the very popular music performance and dance TV show, 'American Bandstand', which, as the lyrics state, was broadcast from Philadelphia, PA.
'Sweet Little Sixteen' was originally released in 1958. A few years later, The Beach Boys borrowed (or you might say 'stole') the melody for their song 'Surfin' USA'. In 2004 Rolling Stone magazine ranked the song number 272 on its list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time".
