What is boiler? ||Waste heat boiler||

Boiler is a closed vessel, in which steam is produced by evaporation of water, at a designated pressure and temperature, on application of heat, generated by firing fuel. It is imperative to say that in a boiler, by firing fuel, chemical energy gets converted into heat energy, and the heat generated is transferred to water, under storage or circulation in a system, by way of convection, conduction or radiation process. The fuel fired may be either in solid, liquid or gaseous form.
