Quick lil story:
I found out about VTubers pretty recently (specifically earlier this year, in April or so.)
So i didnt really know much about Ame, or any HoloMyth member. Heck, i dont think i knew much about ANY hololive vtuber back then.
I was a pretty big Ina'nis fan back then, (WAH) but i never got to tune into her streams much, due to me being in a different timezone.
So i watched others instead, whenever Ina wasnt streaming. I watched Advent, I watched Justice a few weeks after their debut, I watched a bit of Promise (specifically Mumei), but i had also checked out Myth every now and then. Back then, Myth didn't stream as much, so i didn't get to watch much of their streams (i started watching stream while Gura and Ame were on break or smth). But recently, after the Breaking Dimensions tour, they have been more actuve in streaming. Especially during the ENReco event. So i tuned into Myth streams more, even watching the vods if i could.
Sometimes, i chat in streams hoping that they might notice me, like any other vtuber fan does. But i never actually get noticed at all. I decided to stop by Ame's 4th anniversary superchatting stream while i was in bed. And since i just joined, i had no idea what was going on. So i decided to chat "hi chat what'd i miss"
And to my surprise, Ame actually read the chat! I was so happy that right after the stream, i immediately clipped it and saved the clip.
Of course, thats not the only reason i loved Ame. There was the ENReco event. I never got to tune into the streams (i somehow keep timing right at the end of Kronii's streams whenever i joined) so i decided to watch some clips instead. And i found the Jyonathan and Gonathan arc really funny. And i was also there when the Amesame Spelling Bee happened. However, once again, i missed the stream. So i resorted to clips again. And i found the Spelling Bee hilarious! Especially FUWAMOCO's parts. After all of that i decided to watch more Ame stuff. And I've been following her ever since. So i was really shocked to see her most recent stream. I had just gotten back home from school. And i saw the stream. I was confused, what's going on? Why is everyone thanking Ame? How did i miss the stream by 16 minutes?
And then it hit me.
I never thought she'd graduate, but i guess it was really inevitable at this point. (technically she didn't "graduate", but idk what to call it at this point).
I actually teared up while watching the announcement. I was still pretty confused. And even more so after the official statement came out.
Im glad she isnt completely leaving Hololive, but at what cost?
I made this vid in a rush to share my feelings about this. Ame has a special place in my heart. And in my heart, HoloMyth will always be 5.
