Is a Jaguar XKR/XKRS easy to live with? (1/2)

Описание к видео Is a Jaguar XKR/XKRS easy to live with? (1/2)

First of two films exploring whether the XKR-S is easy to live with.

So the Sainsbury's van turned out to be a friend who had stopped to say hello when he recognised the car...

The paint has been good- easy enough to work with for paint correction (I mistakenly say protection in the video) but also resistant to stone chips.

Very comfortable with superb RS seats and a fab sound system.

Exhaust is not too loud if you are concerned about upsetting neighbours but a early cold start does have a rumble to it.

Brake pads and discs for the high performance ATE braking system are expensive through Jaguar but have the highest friction rating available.

I went with rear 276mm Pagid discs and Mintex Pads.

For the XKR-S and later XKR's, the front brake rotors are 380mm with dual 42mm pistons as part of a floating calliper.

Rears are 376 single 45mm piston floating calliper which require a caliper wind back tool.

The pads are different for the XKR-S, part no. C2P25493 found at https://www.britishparts.co.uk/jaguar...

Lot's more to come!
