From Andrea Bocelli’s 30th anniversary concert on April 10, 2024 in Toronto accompanied by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

It was an absolute joy to witness Andrea Bocelli sing this stunning song on stage. Il mare calmo della sera is one of the few songs I’ve heard in my life that absolutely captivated me the first time I heard it. Goose bumps and tears! It’s been on repeat for me ever since.

I can’t totally explain it…but being present to witness/ hear Andrea Bocelli sing touches the soul in very profound way. It felt like I was watching history being made, like the world would forever be changed. Others present felt this too. Like Celine Dion once said, “if God would have a singing voice, he would sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.” A little slice of heaven, indeed.
