(HD) Flying on a Boeing B-17 Bomber, Nose Gunner/Bombardier View Takeoff, Flight and Landing

On this warm June day in 2018 I went back in time... to another year,
another era. Flying like the American Greatest Generation flew. As this is easily one of the most iconic aircraft that fought in World War II, it was the flight of a lifetime for me and I will never forget it.

Flashbacks to movies like Memphis Belle and Twelve O' Clock High... you can get a feel what it must have been like for those young men who fought with this machine so many years ago...

I volunteered to sit up in the front and became somewhat wedged in
during the flight (being a somewhat larger, taller individual)
so I wasn't able to move around the aircraft during the flight
and check all the other positions but I think this turned out well
anyway. To say I enjoyed the flight would be a serious understatement. I certainly would like to do this again and this special opportunity was worth every dollar spent. I have joined the select group worldwide who can say they have flown on a B-17 airframe.

NOTE: In hindsight, I probably should've spent more time showing the interior, especially the bombardier position, but I tried to get what I could given time constraints and other variables. Plus, this always gives me an excuse to do it again sometime soon lol.

making of the movie “Tora Tora Tora.”
