The Eve of the War - a cover version by David Gordon

Описание к видео The Eve of the War - a cover version by David Gordon

This is another of my favorite classics that I've tried playing for many years. Now with my JD-Xi, Juno-D I've been able to create this cover version by recording the tracks on my Zoom R8. I hope you enjoy it.

Updated July 2023...
I've been asked for details of the drum pattern and the bass line...
I borrowed the drum pattern from one of the sample songs on the JD-XI called DREAM on position D53. It uses a drum kit called Pop kit 3 which (for whatever reason) is not available in the standard kits on the JD-Xi. So, if you save this song to one of the writeable memory slots, you'll be able to edit and use it! Delete the unwanted voices. Change the tempo to 127 BPM and BINGO you're there!
The bass sequence is using the Analogue synth voice Toxic Bass 1 and is playing a repeating D octave with a couple of A notes at the end over 8 notes repeating (16 note pattern)
highD, lowD lowD, highD, lowD, highD, A, A
Tip: use the Step recorder to create this sequence.
During the middle part of the song, the same bass sequence is played using the D2: 106 Bass3
I'm also transposing down to Bb back to C then down to Ab Finishing with Ab to Bb to C.
Hopefully this will be useful!
